The "other albatrosses" group includes all albatrosses that are caught in New Zealand fisheries, apart from white-capped albatross, Buller's albatrosses, and Salvin's albatross. Estimates of total bycatch in trawl and longline fisheries are available for the "other albatrosses" group.
In the 2002–03 fishing year, there was no observed fishing in minor purse seine fisheries in the Bay of Plenty area. No estimates of total captures were made.
