White-chinned petrel (Procellaria aequinoctialis) breed on islands throughout the Southern Ocean. The largest breeding site for white-chinned petrel in New Zealand is on the Antipodes Islands.

In the 2020–21 fishing year, there was no scampi trawl fishing in the Fiordland area. No estimates of total captures were made.
